War Of The Worlds

After listening to the War of the Worlds news brodcast, i didnt really understand why these people believed what was being said on the radio. After I thought for a minute and said well what are these people suppposed to beleive? Then i had understood why this news brodcast had such a powerful influence on what these people had done. Also i thought about whether if a brodcast like this was made today what would be people's reaction. If a similar brodcast was made today i dont think that people would react in the same way because of the fact that the news now a days is very war/threat oreintated and people seem to just be living their normal lives.
